Returns:

If you are dissatisfied with your order for any reason, you can return your sunglasses for a full refund or exchange within 15 days of the purchase date.

Please note that only shipping costs using GROUND service in the United States (excluding Guam, Hawaii & Puerto Rico) will be refunded.

To be eligible for a return, your sunglasses must be unused and in the same condition that you received them. They must also be in the original packaging.

We will issue FREE USPS return shipping labels to customers in the United States (excluding Guam, Hawaii & Puerto Rico).

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Shipping:

After your payment is authorized and verified, please allow up to 2 business days to process your order. Please add this processing time to your selected shipping time to estimate arrival of your purchase.

Please note that all shipping is via UPS and service timings selected (eg. 3 Day Select) references business days only and does not include weekends or any processing time.

You will receive a shipping notification email that will notify you of the tracking number for your order.

Please note that we only accept orders shipping to the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico.

*Please note that the offer of 'Free Shipping' is only available to customers in the United States (excluding Guam, Hawaii & Puerto Rico) who spend $49 or more. Please also note that this shipping is via UPS GROUND service only.

Canadian and Mexican customers please be aware that there are additional taxes and fees when shipping to Canada/Mexico. Due to GST (Goods & Services Tax), PST (Provincial Sales Tax), broker fees and shipping, this cost may range from $20.00 to $40.00. These taxes/fees are in addition to the sales price of the sunglasses and will be charged separately by UPS. In addition, if sunglasses are returned, these taxes and fees cannot be refunded.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

9. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.

10. DO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In Short:  Yes, if you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided below.
If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with the Website, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Website. Will your information be shared with anyone else?

We may disclose your personal information with our service providers pursuant to a written contract between us and each service provider. Each service provider is a for-profit entity that processes the information on our behalf.

We may use your personal information for our own business purposes, such as for undertaking internal research for technological development and demonstration. This is not considered to be "selling" of your personal data.

Spitfire Sunglass Design (USA) Inc. has not disclosed or sold any personal information to third parties for a business or commercial purpose in the preceding 12 months. Spitfire Sunglass Design (USA) Inc. will not sell personal information in the future belonging to website visitors, users and other consumers.

Right to request deletion of the data - Request to delete

You can ask for the deletion of your personal information. If you ask us to delete your personal information, we will respect your request and delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions provided by law, such as (but not limited to) the exercise by another consumer of his or her right to free speech, our compliance requirements resulting from a legal obligation or any processing that may be required to protect against illegal activities.

Verification process

Upon receiving your request, we will need to verify your identity to determine you are the same person about whom we have the information in our system. If, however, we cannot verify your identity from the information already maintained by us, we may request that you provide additional information for the purposes of verifying your identity, and for security or fraud-prevention purposes. OUR SUSTAINABILITY MISSION:

We are constantly asking ourselves how we can do more and make a greater positive impact on the world around us.

We are committed to sustainability and this drives us to push forward with our manufacturing materials, packaging & shipping logistics.

THE CELLULOSE ACETATE ADVANTAGE:

Cellulose acetate is a plant-based renewable material that comes from natural sources of cotton or wood pulp.

This makes it better for the environment over virgin plastics.

It is highly durable which means that it can withstand a high amount of physical stress while maintaining its shape, but also has great elasticity which allows adjustments to be made for the perfect fit.

60% of all our sunglasses are made using cellulose acetate (up from 5% in 2016 when we first introduced this into our manufacturing process).

Our goal is to get this to 100%.

CARBON OFFSET SHIPPING:

We have partnered with EcoCart to offer carbon offset shipping.

This means we calculate the emissions cost of shipping your order and offer a practical way to offset this by funding renewable energy, forestry or clean water projects.

So far the Spitfire community has offset 42,765 lbs of carbon.

Our goal is to offset carbon emissions across our entire supply chain.

SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING:

All our sunglasses come in poly bags that are made up of 80% recycled materials.

We have redesigned our sunglass cases to eliminate metal and reduce plastic.

We have never used animal products in our cases and we never will.

All our packaging fill is made from 100% recycled materials or recyclable materials.

Our goal is to eliminate all plastic in our sunglass cases.
